This low growing, earlier blooming species is decorated with delightful little single white flowers, which are distinguished by a large ring of dark anthers around the center, and blue flushes on the backs of the petals. The plant has kidney-shaped basal leaves, each with 3 deeply divided lobes.
Prefers sun to partial shade and humusy, moisture-retentive soil. Good plants for naturalizing.
