A compact, bushy Monkshood topped with racemes of dark violet-blue hooded flowers. Shiny, dark-green, deeply-divided foliage fills out the sturdy stems, which unlike many other Monkshoods, don't need staking.
Prefers partial shade and grows best in fertile, cool, moisture-retentive soil. 'Bressingham Spire' is a slow-growing cultivar. Does well in the shady perennial border or wildgarden. Excellent cutflowers.
