Heavily laden spikes of large, white, hooded flowers with delicately purple-tinged edges, are the icing on this lovely upright perennial. The mid-green foliage is finely-divided and lobed into narrow sections.

Prefers partial shade and grows best in fertile, cool, moisture-retentive soil. Does well in the shady perennial border or wildgarden. Excellent cutflowers.
