Heavily laden spikes of large, blue, hooded flowers peak this upright perennial. The beautifully thick and glossy dark-green leaves are deeply lobed into gracefully downward-curling feather-shaped sections.

Prefers partial shade and grows best in fertile, cool, moisture-retentive soil. Does well in the shady perennial border or wildgarden. Excellent cutflowers.
